I had a lovely stay at this historic hotel! The rooms had everything we needed, with comfy beds and a charming bar/lounge. The food was excellent although the decor was a bit old-fashioned. The service was top-notch with friendly and chatty staff, but the seating arrangement was a bit uncomfortable. The location was brilliant near the fort walls, but the town center was too quiet at night. The dining experience was mostly great with beautifully cooked meals, but some dishes were underwhelming. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay with a few minor hiccups.
